A staple in the liner notes of some of Australia’s biggest recent releases, Jean-Paul (JP) Fung has found himself one of the most in-demand young producers / writers in the country. Lauded as a genuine creative talent, JP’s ear for song craft, technical mastery and innovative approach has seen him earn credits on works by: Andy Black, Birds of Tokyo, Cold Chisel, John Farnham, Client Liaison, Last Dinosaurs, Theophilus London and Jet amongst many others.

Beginning his career at Sydney’s BJB studios, JP’s positive energy and determination helped hone his production skills as he worked alongside esteemed Australian and international producers such as Eric J. Dubowsky (Flume, Tove Lo), Chris Coady (Foals), Scott Horscroft (Empire of the Sun) and Richard Wilkinson (Adele).

Now with a firm focus on songwriting, JP’s ever-increasing network of songwriting collaborators include John Feldmann (5SOS), Theron “Neff-U” Feemster (Michael Jackson, Justin Bieber), Audra Mae (Kelly Clarkson), Sarah Aarons (Zedd, Demi Lovato), Don Walker (Cold Chisel), Jayson Dezuzio (Imagine Dragons), Nash Overstreet (Megan Trainer) and Samu Haber (The Voice Germany). JP is also a mentor with the APRA AMCOS Song Makers Program.

More recently, JP has been prodigiously injecting his sense of pop melody and dynamic lyricism into an array of up and coming talent. As a result, his ever-evolving sound of punchy, edgy, dark-pop has been compared to musical giants Twenty One Pilots, Kiiara and Tove Lo. Recent co-writes and productions include Dean Lewis, Ivy Levan, Bobi Andonov, George Sheppard, Phoebe Starr, Muki, Woodes, Aodhan, Briskey, Lil $PLI$H and AViVA, whose single ‘GRRRLS’ has amassed 800 million online streams and counting.
